ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The skies above Chesterfield will roar to life this weekend as the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show returns, bringing iconic aircraft and world-class aerial performers to the region.
This year’s headliner is the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, who are marking their 80th anniversary with their signature high-speed, precision flying. Joining them are the Canadian Snowbirds, celebrating their 55th year of performing, making the trip south from Canada for the event.
Canadian Snowbirds Capt. Phil Rochon reflected on the significance of the weekend, “Canada and the U.S., we’ve had a military relationship all the way back to World War I and before that, we’re coming up on the celebration of D-Day this weekend, so it’s really apt that we’re able to celebrate aviation excellence with the Blue Angels and the rest of our air show family here in the states.”…
