Last Friday morning, I was standing outside Katz’s Delicatessen on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
The legendary New York deli has been serving towering sandwiches since the late 19th century and has become as much a tourist destination as a restaurant. If you’ve ever visited Katz’s, you know the routine: take a photo, admire the iconic sign and start thinking about pastrami.
So that’s what I did.
