St. Louis felon gets life plus 15 years for deadly 2023 shooting

A convicted felon has been sentenced to life in federal prison plus an additional 15 years for a 2023 shooting in St. Louis that killed two teenagers, wounded two pregnant teenagers, and ultimately resulted in the death of an infant born after the attack.

U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Clark imposed the sentence on Thursday on Eddie Marcus Love, 39. The shooting occurred at approximately 1:46 a.m. on May 7, 2023, near the 1900 block of Agnes Street in St. Louis.

During the sentencing hearing, Judge Clark noted that Love had been released on parole less than one month earlier after serving a 20-year prison sentence for robbery and armed criminal action convictions. The judge stated that Love “essentially decides to go on a killing spree” and said Love had told his nephew, Charles Webster, that he was in a “killing mood” before the events unfolded…
