The National Weather Service has updated its damage assessment for the May 16, 2025, tornado outbreak that struck St. Louis and parts of Madison County.
The revision followed a yearlong review of new ground survey data and aerial imagery. More than 10,000 damage points were added to the survey, many of them from the Missouri Structural Assessment and Visual Evaluation Coalition.
