ST. LOUIS – Crews responded to a vehicle fire Thursday morning near a large sinkhole in downtown St. Louis.
The fire occurred near the sinkhole underneath Interstate 44 and appeared to involve a St. Louis City Street Department truck.
According to a spokesperson with the St. Louis City Street Department, the truck that caught fire was a City of St. Louis Street Department vehicle. The truck was taken to the site Thursday morning by a street inspector as part of a routine check at the construction site…
