St. Louis man admits having 17 guns as a felon, some stolen

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis man pleaded guilty to having over a dozen guns as a felon in court on Wednesday. The guns were found after the man fled from police and started a standoff.

Demond Spruill, 51, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis on Wednesday to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to court documents, on March 12, 2024, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents and members of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department SWAT team were planning a search of Spruill’s home in the 4400 block of Lexington Avenue…
