ST. LOUIS – A washout that resembles a sinkhole formed along the Downtown St. Louis riverfront earlier this week near the Gateway Arch.
This comes after a significantly larger sinkhole emerged just north of downtown, near Broadway and Biddle Street, just two weeks ago, shutting down parts of major interstates through St. Louis.
The newly formed washout is located on a concrete section that slopes toward the Mississippi River. It sits near Lenore K. Sullivan Boulevard with a sidewalk and walkway path to the Gateway Arch grounds in between…
