ST. LOUIS – A cool front that moved through the region ahead of Independence Day celebrations brought heavy thunderstorms to the area Friday, helping reduce fire concerns before fireworks displays.
Some lingering smoke and fog overnight created hazy conditions early Sunday morning. Additional scattered showers helped improve visibility as the morning progressed.
Skies are expected to gradually clear through the rest of Sunday, with a high near 87 degrees. A few isolated thunderstorms remain possible later in the day…
