Man stole firearms from officer’s vehicle: Police

HILLSBORO, Mo. – A Jefferson County Circuit Court judge signed an arrest warrant for a Hazelwood man accused of breaking into several cars, including a police officer’s vehicle, and stealing items within.

According to the Arnold Police Department’s probable cause statement, Jordan A. Ruhl broke into 14 vehicles at two different apartment complexes in December 2025, causing more than $3,400 in damages and stealing more than $9,500 in property.

During the first spate of car cloutings on Dec. 12, 2025, investigators said Ruhl broke into an officer’s car and stole a Glock 19 9mm handgun and a Sig Arms P229 9mm handgun, along with other law enforcement items. The value of the guns and other law enforcement property was valued at $6,819.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ruhl with 12 counts of second-degree burglary, six counts of first-degree property damage, three counts of stealing – $750 or more, two counts of stealing a firearm, three counts of misdemeanor stealing, and one count of felony stealing…
