St. Louis County to replace two Big Bend bridges, traffic changes expected

MAPLEWOOD, Mo. (First Alert 4) – This week, St. Louis County is preparing to replace two bridges on Big Bend Boulevard, a $4.5 million project that will bring lane reductions, ramp closures and temporary full weekend closures to the area.

The Pacific Avenue and Greenwood bridges, located south of Manchester Road and north of I-44, are the focus of the project. County transportation officials say the 70-year-old structures are deteriorating and the work cannot be delayed.
