St. Louis man charged for stealing cash, jewelry from ex-girlfriend

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis man has been charged after authorities claim he took $3,500 in cash and a necklace worth $4,000 from his ex-girlfriend’s home.

According to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, Ja’vonne Dion Lindsey, 22, stole from the home on June 7 in the 10000 block of Lookaway Drive.

According to a probable cause statement from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, Lindsey’s ex-girlfriend told investigators that he came to her home to discuss plans for his upcoming birthday and asked to borrow a chain and for money. After she refused, Lindsey allegedly took $3,500 in cash from a coat inside her closet and got a silver chain from a jewelry box before leaving the home…
