Skinker-DeBaliviere Hit-and-Run Trail Leads Cops to Suspect Car, Stash and Gun

District 5 officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded earlier this month to a hit-and-run crash in the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood after a vehicle struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene. Officers later found the suspected vehicle nearby and recovered what they described as suspected contraband during the stop. The department has not released details about the pedestrian’s condition or whether any arrests have been made.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, District 5 officers located the vehicle and discovered a large quantity of suspected marijuana packaged for individual sale along with a firearm inside.
