District 5 officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded earlier this month to a hit-and-run crash in the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood after a vehicle struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene. Officers later found the suspected vehicle nearby and recovered what they described as suspected contraband during the stop.
