CLAYTON, Mo. – A Moline Acres man was sentenced Tuesday for a 2023 murder in Ferguson.
Jerry J. Watkins, now 26, will spend 30 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for killing Frederick Jett during an armed robbery.
Jett was shot and killed on Aug. 28, 2023, near the intersection of Glen Owen Drive and Bahama Court in Ferguson. Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation just after 8:40 p.m. and found Jett suffering from a gunshot wound. Jett was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was 45.
