ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A former top administrator in the St. Louis Sheriff’s Office has filed a lawsuit against the City of St. Louis and former Sheriff Alfred Montgomery.
Tashana Syas, the sheriff’s office’s former director of personnel and fiscal operations, alleges she was wrongfully fired after cooperating with state and federal investigators during the investigation that ultimately led to Montgomery’s removal from office in last year’s quo warranto case.
The lawsuit alleges retaliation, whistleblower violations, race, sex and age discrimination, slander and wrongful termination. Syas is seeking reinstatement, back pay, damages and other relief…
