ST. LOUIS – Heavy rains have led to some flash flooding around the St. Louis region on Thursday, primarily in north St. Louis near Interstate 70.
Around 1 p.m., cars were backed up for several miles on I-70 near Union Boulevard due to flash floods impacting the highway.
The highway was closed in both the eastbound and westbound lanes for nearly an hour while floodwaters receded. Both lanes of I-70 have since reopened…
