GRANITE CITY, Ill. (First Alert 4) – A suspect is in critical condition after being shot by officers in Granite City.
The Illinois State Police Department said that officers from the Granite City Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 2000 block of Edison Avenue around 10:20 a.m. on Monday for a report of an armed suspect.
When the officers arrived, they spotted the suspect armed with multiple weapons. When the suspect did not obey orders to drop the weapons, an officer from each department fired their guns at the suspect.
