Jefferson County roofer accused of defrauding tornado victims heading toward trial

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The Jefferson County roofer that the Attorney General accuses of defrauding 16 tornado victims is now awaiting trial. Jacob Kaestner waived his right to a probable cause hearing Monday, allowing the case to move toward trial.

Missouri AG Catherine Hanaway accused Kaestner of defrauding 16 consumers, mostly tornado victims, out of $130,000 dollars.

The AG says Kaestner took large downpayments from consumers, and provided little to no work for roofing, siding, and window projects…
