Extreme heat forces multiple closures across St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – From farmers markets to concerts, this extreme heat is forcing some local businesses and organizations to cancel or reschedule outdoor events that were planned for this week across the St. Louis area.

The Tower Grove Farmers Market announced Tuesday that its weekday markets are canceled for the remainder of the week, adding, “it’s just too dang hot to have vendors setting up during the hottest part of the day.” The closures impacted the farmers market that was scheduled for Tuesday in Tower Grove Park and on Thursday at the Rockwell Beer Garden.
