School districts crack down on e-bikes, e-scooters at school

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – St. Louis area school districts are enforcing new rules related to electric bikes and scooters.

Within the last month, the Rockwood School District banned the use of electric bikes, motorized bikes and e-scooters on school property.

Students can still ride the devices to school, but they must get off the device and turn it off the moment they reach campus, then walk the e-bike or e-scooter to the bike rack. The policy applies at all Rockwood schools at any time of day…
