Bomb threat leads to evacuation of St. Louis Walmart

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Officers from the South County Precinct responded to a bomb threat at a Walmart store just before 7:30 a.m.. Out of an abundance of caution, the store was evacuated while law enforcement secured the area.

The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit responded to the location to conduct a search of the building. Explosive detection K9 units were deployed alongside investigators to sweep the premises.

Response teams worked to verify the safety of the location following the initial call for service. Officials at the scene indicated they expected the store sweep to be wrapped up within about an hour…
