ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Police are investigating a series of overnight incidents in south city involving a street takeover, a vehicle fire, medics held at gunpoint, and officers injured in a crash.
According to Mitch McCoy, the director of Public Affairs and Information for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers began receiving calls of reckless driving near Gravois Road and Chippewa Street in Dutchtown around 1:20 a.m. Minutes later, callers reported a street takeover at Gravois and Morgan Ford Road in the Bevo neighborhood.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., police received word of “medic in need of aid” after EMTs were being held at gunpoint at South Grand Avenue and Magnolia Street at the northeast corner of Tower Grove Park…
