ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A fallen power pole in his backyard is causing problems for north St. Louis homeowner Rex Otten.
The pole fell Saturday afternoon, leading him to call the fire department. Responding officers taped the area off for safety.
“Well, my cable and my electric has been flickering since it happened. And I’m afraid it’s all going to go out and hot as it is, it’s going to be rough,” Otten said, worrying about the hot temperatures over Labor Day weekend.

“They’re not for sure what kind of wires and how much voltage and if they’re live and if they’re on the fence, the fence could be electrified,” Otten said…
