ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Public Schools delayed the vote for its Future Ready plan during a board meeting Tuesday evening.
The vote for the plan has been delayed to Nov. 10 to give families more time to understand the proposed changes, officials said. The vote was originally scheduled for Oct. 13.
SLPS says “Future Ready” is a plan for the year and a long-term initiative to reshape the district as enrollment declines. SLPS projects about 16,700 students this year, which is down more than 1,200 compared with last year.
