A 52-year-old Jerseyville, Illinois, man was killed, and two others were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 255 in St. Louis County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, east of Telegraph Road.
The Highway Patrol reported that a 2026 Freightliner 589 was traveling east on Interstate 255 when its front struck the rear of a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. After the impact, the Chevrolet Equinox slid off the left side of the road and struck a raised concrete barrier with its front. The Freightliner traveled off the right side of the road, crossed the outer road, and struck three houses and two parked vehicles in a driveway.
