After countless hours of public comment, debate and politicking, new rules on data centers in St. Louis are headed to Mayor Cara Spencer’s desk.
For the past year, city planning staff, members of the Board of Aldermen and other city officials worked to put controls on data centers in place through new zoning rules in the form of Board Bill 49. After weeks of debate and special meetings during the board’s summer break, the bill passed unanimously on Friday.
