World Fuel acquires 33 dealer contracts in Illinois and Missouri

  • Global fuels company World Fuel has acquired approximately 33 branded dealer contracts in the Midwest from CF Altitude, a World Fuel spokesperson confirmed to C-Store Dive.
  • The locations included in the deal are scattered across the greater St. Louis metropolitan area in Missouri and Illinois, according to the spokesperson and an announcement from World Fuel.
  • CF Altitude was previously identified as Colorado-based retailer Alta Convenience’s parent company. It’s unclear if that relationship remains in place.

Dive Insight:

The dealer contracts acquired by World Fuel do not appear to be for any of Alta Convenience’s current stores, since Alta’s website shows its more than 100 locations are in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.

In January 2021, Pester Marketing Company, doing business as Alta Convenience, was sold to a joint venture between Fortress Investment Group and a Phillips 66 subsidiary. A May 2026 SEC filing listed CF Altitude as being associated with Phillips 66.

World Fuel’s spokesperson declined to comment on any connection between the deal and Alta, and declined to identify the fuel brands associated with the 33 contracts or specify the individual locations…
