Fairview Heights considers new licenses for food trucks, mobile vendors

In an effort to make the City of Fairview Heights more easily accessible for food trucks, the city council will vote Tuesday, Sept. 15, on a proposed ordinance written specifically for mobile retail vendor licenses.

If approved, the ordinance will add a new section to the existing code of ordinances chapter for business regulations.

Dallas Alley, land use and economic development director, previously submitted the ordinance detailing definitions, registration application procedures, and regulations that would allow mobile vendors, including food trucks and mobile stores, to obtain licenses to operate within city limits…
