St. Louis will be seeing more of perennial third party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein in the coming months. The Green Party politician requested in court today that her misdemeanor assault and trespass case go to jury trial—rejecting a deal offered by prosecutors.
The initial date for that trial is now set for October 29.
A spokesperson for St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Price Smith said that her office offered to drop the charges so long as Stein completed 10 hours of community service.
