KIRKWOOD, Mo. – The city of Kirkwood is transferring ownership of its public works facility at 345 South Fillmore to Double Eagle Development for a $50 million mixed-use project. The proposed plan features a 202-unit apartment building.
In order to clear the site, the municipal government is relocating its public works operations to a location a few blocks away. Double Eagle Development plans to demolish the existing facility, situated beside the new Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, to make way for the new residential construction.
As part of the proposal, Double Eagle Development is requesting a property tax abatement spanning from the project’s planned 2029 completion date through 2042.
