ST. LOUIS – A hard-fought dream in the City of St. Louis is now just one signature away from becoming a reality.
Board Bill 50, known as the ‘food truck bill,’ would establish five food truck zones – known as Vending Commercial Markets – across the city. They would include the areas of Downtown, Downtown West, City Park, Grand Center and Cherokee Street.
On Friday, the St. Louis Board of Alderman unanimously passed the bill, which now sits on Mayor Cara Spencer’s desk awaiting a final signature.

With the change, many food trucks could stay open until as late as 1 a.m., so long as they are not operating within 150 feet of an existing business that sells comparable products…
