ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man has been charged after allegedly hitting two police vehicles and fleeing from law enforcement earlier this week.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, an officer spotted a red Ford Explorer with heavily tinted windows and no license plates driving along South Broadway on Sept. 14. The officer turned on his lights and attempted to stop the vehicle, who police say was driven by Sergio Bonilla-Rodriguez. The vehicle then made a U-turn and fled on northbound South Broadway.
A pursuit began with several police vehicles following. Spike strips were used and deflated both front tires, but Bonilla-Rodriguez allegedly kept driving, eventually reaching the 2200 block of Osage St.
