ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Public Schools told us 43 days ago that “it was aware of the collapse risk we exposed at Euclid School and was working on it.” Yet, there’s no sign of any action by the district other than putting up the fence around what has now collapsed.
The entire street is roped off with warning tape, all the way up to the Montessori school across the street. Students there must now be dropped off and picked up around back.
On Aug. 11, FOX 2 News reported the top part of the school was hanging precariously. Developer Benjamin Anderson told us the district denied his offer to purchase the building. He said the district did not believe he could renovate it and that demolition would be the safer option…
