ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) – Officers from eight St. Louis-area police departments formed an escort to welcome 63-year-old Lance Jeffries home from the hospital following a violent assault earlier this month.
St. Louis County Police responded around 4:45 p.m. Sept. 19 to a reported crash near the intersection of Jennings Station Road and Shannon Avenue in Jennings. Investigators said Jeffries rear-ended another vehicle.
According to family members and police, Jeffries got out of his car to check on the occupants of the other vehicle. That is when several people exited their car, confronted him angrily, and began assaulting him…
