Soaking rainfall of 1-2 inches is likely across the region Thursday

ST. LOUIS – A warm southwest wind has pushed temperatures to near record levels, as expected. Expect mostly cloudy skies to continue into tonight and Thursday.

A slow-moving cold front will work with copious amounts of tropical moisture coming north from the Pacific Ocean— along with the remnants of Hurricane Polo — to produce widespread rain and some thunderstorms from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.
