Ferguson man charged after shooting brother following argument, police say

FERGUSON, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A Ferguson man faces felony charges after police said he shot his brother following an argument in their home.

Montel Blanks, 33, faces charges of first-degree assault with serious physical injury and armed criminal action after the shooting, according to court records.

A probable cause statement said Ferguson police responded to a home on Sept. 25 after a report of a shooting. The victim, Blanks’ brother, said Blanks shot him after an argument.

Blanks admitted to police that he shot his brother, according to the statement. The bullet traveled through the victim’s cheek and neck before lodging in an outer wall of a neighboring home…
