Granite City man gets 4 years in prison after plea in Wood River battery case

EDWARDSVILLE — A Granite City man originally charged with home invasion and domestic battery-related felonies was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty Aug. 4 to aggravated battery.

Trymaine J. Davis, 37, of Granite City, pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, and was sentenced Aug. 4.

He had originally been charged in September 2025 and indicted the next month for home invasion, a Class X felony; domestic battery (second or subsequent offense), a Class 4 felony; and interfering with reporting of domestic violence and violation of pretrial release, both Class A misdemeanors…
