KIRKWOOD, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The years-long saga involving a vacant property in Kirkwood continues, as the city requests more bids for proposals to help revive the area.
The area in question is the baseball and softball fields on Marshall Road – a 14-acre site that has sat empty since the city bought the fields from the Kirkwood Athletic Association in 2023.
But the fields have been a part of this community for 60 years, and for decades, people here in Kirkwood spent a lot of time either playing themselves or watching their loved ones play at this site…
