ST. LOUIS (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis firefighter who spent more than 30 years with the St. Louis Fire Department is no longer employed there after he defecated in a cardboard box while working fire protection at Lambert Airport.
The firefighter was put on administrative leave after the June 10 incident, which was caught on security camera footage in an area operated by the airport’s food and beverage concessionare. His employment with the City of St. Louis ended on August 14, the Department of Personnel confirmed to First Alert 4.
