FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. – In an area where an estimated 250 teens gathered a week ago in Fairview Heights, cameras are now visible and all is quiet.
Belleville West graduate Marvin Douglas recalls days when classmates would rendezvous at local businesses on Friday nights.
“There’s a lot of online stuff going on and everybody says, ‘Oh, meet here,’ and then it escalates and people start to get a little rowdy,” Douglas said. “Be smart and stay safe. I think that’s number one. Don’t follow drama because that will get you messed up.”…
