The abandoned Aviator Hotel at 6921 Lindbergh Blvd. has been bought. District 6 County Councilman Mike Archer says that the owner has plans to at least partially demolish it.
“The Aviator Hotel went into receivership, essentially foreclosure,” Archer told The Call in September. “It was purchased (Sept. 17) by a new owner.”
Archer met with the developer in October to discuss plans for the abandoned hotel. He says that the owner — currently unnamed — is a buyer from Texas who picked up the property after it went into receivership. The owner, according to Archer, has talked about possibly using the site as a retail development for two stores in the future…
