ST. LOUIS – A male inmate assaulted a female correctional officer inside the City Justice Center Thursday afternoon. The officer “sustained minor injuries to her face,” was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released, according to a statement from Monte Chambers, spokesperson for the Director of Public Safety.
