ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Organizers say the 45th Soulard Mardi Gras grand parade delivered a good time as promised.
Thousands came out Saturday to enjoy the mild weather, neighborhood bands, and 80 units marching down the parade route.
Officials say there were only about 10 police citations issued, mainly for underage drinking.
Police have not said if this was connected to Mardi Gras celebrations in any way, but there was one incident of gun violence in the Soulard area Saturday evening.
They tell us a woman was shot in the leg at South 7th and Marion.
It happened just after 6:30 PM Saturday.
The injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
