Holly Hills fatal shooting: Victim was alive 13 hours before dying, police say

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged two men for a murder that happened last month in the city’s Holly Hills neighborhood.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statements, the murder occurred on January 18 in the 5200 block of South Grand Boulevard near Walsh Street.

Police claim earlier in the day, Anthony Hill entered a business at that location and inquired about the victim’s whereabouts. The co-defendant, Calvin Anderson, operates said business.

Later that day, Anderson allegedly called Hill to tell him the victim was at his business. Hill and another person return to the business and confront the victim.

Prosecutors and police claim surveillance video shows Hill and this third individual assault the victim outside a vacant storefront. Meanwhile, Anderson is filming the incident on a cellphone. Hill eventually takes out a handgun and shoots the victim several times.
