ST. LOUIS – A woman from Pacific, Missouri, is the latest person to be charged in connection with a plot to rob thousands of dollars’ worth of cash and jewelry from a St. Louis man’s apartment.
The robbery happened on the morning of Dec. 7, 2023, at an apartment in the 1400 block of Union Boulevard, located in the Academy neighborhood, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement.
The victim told police two masked people entered his apartment, pointed a gun at him, and then stole $4,300 in cash and jewelry worth an estimated $2,000.
St. Louis police reviewed surveillance video from inside the victim’s residence.
The woman who set the victim up and spent the night at his apartment, identified as Brittany Gilpin, 37, can be seen on the surveillance video walking out the front door. Gilpin is on her phone as she heads toward the door. When she leaves, the two masked people enter the apartment. Gilpin appears to show no concern as the armed individuals walk past her.
