An important note about Venice Café is that it’s a cash-only bar (there’s an ATM on the premises). Everything else about this venue is either interesting, attractive, lively, or you might not like it. If you like to go somewhere that is differentiated, then you’ll probably like this place.
Visit here to check out the drink menu. Beer, Vodka, wine, and other options are served.

The beginning
In 1978, nearly 46 years ago, this funky-looking bar used to be a house. The buyer was Jeff Lockheed. The location was the Benton Park neighborhood. Lockheed eventually converted it into a café, obtained a liquor license, and opened it in 1988.
When Lockheed needed work, he converted his house into a bar. All types of art are displayed in the café. You could say it’s a pub of all sorts of art. You have to appreciate the creativity and not see it as a lot of clutter or a collection of junk.
…a schedule of quality entertainment. Kitschy Americana, indigenous cultural (real and replica?), modern and classical arts mosaic infused montage! (Facebook reviewer.)
