One dead, and two injured in north St. Louis shootings

ST. LOUIS — A man was killed and two others were injured in three separate shootings on the city’s northside. Authorities have taken one person into custody in connection with one of the shootings. Two of these cases are being investigated as homicides.

One of the homicides occurred last night around 8 p.m. in the Walnut Park East neighborhood. A 56-year-old man was found in a van with a fatal gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brother and sister killed in St. Louis County; charges filed

Earlier in the afternoon, another shooting in the St. Louis Place neighborhood left a 35-year-old man critically injured with multiple gunshot wounds. His condition is described as critical and unstable, and he is not expected to survive. Detectives are also handling this case as a potential homicide.

A third incident occurred last night around 9 p.m. in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood. A 56-year-old man was shot in the hand but was conscious and breathing when found by the police.
