ST. LOUIS – A man was arrested after breaking into a car and firing a gunshot while at a Conoco gas station in north St. Louis County on Tuesday morning.
Police say a man saw someone breaking into his car while he was inside the store on Page Avenue, just west of North and South Road.
Investigators say when he confronted the suspect, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired one shot.
The suspect was held by a citizen until police arrived and took him into custody. No one was hit by the gunfire.
Officers did recover the gun after the incident.
