St. Louis-area school raises thousands for victims of Hurricane Helene

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – As the southeast still recovers from Hurricane Helene, a local school is helping out. Reed Elementary School in Ladue raised $3,000 in just one day for Helene victims. The school is partnering with a Georgia elementary school impacted by the storm. For the “Hats on for Hurricane Helene victims” fundraiser, students were invited to wear their favorite hats to school last Friday. Families were encouraged to make donations as well.
