Arrest warrant issued for man who stole 12 catalytic converters from dealership

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge issued an arrest warrant last week for a man wanted for stealing a dozen catalytic converters from a local car dealership in spring 2023.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the thefts took place on April 14, 2023, at a dealership in the 2200 block of South Kingshighway Boulevard, located in the city’s Southwest Garden neighborhood.

Officers received a report of vehicle tampering and arrived to find two men inside a fenced yard belonging to the dealership. A hole had been cut in the fence, and catalytic converters had been stacked up near the opening.

Police said they also found two tool bags containing tools and reciprocating saws nearby.

One of the defendants, identified as Semsudin Pajazetovic, 24, attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The probable cause statement makes no mention of the second suspect.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Pajazetovic with 12 counts of stealing – catalytic converter, one count of first-degree trespassing, second-degree property damage, and resisting arrest.
