ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Investigators said a Kirkwood woman embezzled approximately $30,0000 from her employer over an 18-month period.
According to the Brentwood Police Department’s probable cause statement, the crime occurred from late November 2021 to early May 2023.
An internal audit by Hoffman Brothers revealed that an employee had used a company credit card for several unauthorized transactions.
Police said the employee, Carla D. Hundley (age not provided), worked as the company’s controller and was responsible for making deposits.

Hundley had used the credit card to purchase flights, food delivery, and other items for herself and family members, police said. The purchases totaled $7,000.
However, Hoffman Brothers management eventually discovered they were missing $30,000 in deposits. Police said detectives searched Hundley’s bank accounts and discovered approximately $23,000 in deposits over that period of time that could not be attributed to income from her or her husband’s jobs.
